Codi Diplomat Laptop Bag Review–All The Room You Need

Mobilewhack.com

The folks out at Codi sent me one of their laptop bags–the Diplomat, by name–to review so I could pass on word to you guys.  And I’ll tell you this: the Diplomat may be a bit big and bulky, but it’s actually got a whole lot more utility than even the Speck CorePack.

The Codi Diplomat is a huge laptop bag made entirely from ballistic nylon.  It’s got holding capacity sufficient for fully THREE LAPTOPS.  Admittedly, the third laptop has to be a smaller one (I got it into the third slot but couldn’t zip the pouch closed), but still–this is, effectively, a THREE LAPTOP LAPTOP CASE.  It’s also got both a shoulder strap and hand cases, a leather luggage tag, and a zipper pouch as well as a variety of padded dividers for files and office supplies (which is great if you’re not planning to move three laptops at the same time).

This is a big bag.  It’s hefty, a little bit bulky, but sufficiently well-designed to not be awkward.  Carrying it, even with a load, is fairly easy whether you’re toting it by hand or over your shoulder.

You might balk at the price–a whopping hundred and twenty dollars–but know that you might well get the last bag you’ll ever buy with the Codi Diplomat.  It’s got all the room you’ll need, and then some, plus all the options you’ll need to carry it.

The Good

Incredible amounts of room

Maximum utility

Great design and strength

The Bad

A bit bulky

Really pricey

Score 8 / 10
