Microsoft Tag, the mobile application that uses Microsoft's own barcode technology (called High Capacity Color Barcode, or HCCB) now out beta, being available free Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Mobile Palm OS. The application is also available for J2ME phones, although this is still beta.
Microsoft Tag helps users instantly link mobile website or video, add someone their address book, even create their own Tags with the Tag Manager.
Microsoft says that, since beta version of Tag was launched (18 month ago), "more than one billion Tags have been printed people and businesses all over world" – so technology becoming quite popular (mainly thanks fact that Tags can read faster than older barcodes, and they can made smaller sizes).
