HTC Desire officially coming to the US in August, likely via U.S. Cellular

Unwired View

HTC has officially confirmed that its high-end Desire Android smartphone is going released US.

The Taiwanese company only said that the handset would be available starting August, via "select regional operators." One these operators almost certainly U.S. Cellular, which, earlier this year, announced its intentions offer the Desire its customers.

U.S. Cellular a CDMA carrier, which means other regional CDMA carriers (like MetroPCS and Cricket) might get the Desire, too.

As the big CDMA carriers (Verizon Sprint), these will probably not get the Desire, since they already have similar Android smartphones: the Droid Incredible and the EVO 4G.
