Samsung Messager Touch SCH-R630 Cell Phone Review–Tough To Work, But Worth The Effort

Mobilewhack.com

samsung-messager-phoneI’m really starting to become downright enamoured with Samsung cell phones.  They’ve done some terribly interesting things, and their flair for unconventional design is actually a big help for them in the cell phone market.  The Samsung Messager Touch SCH-R630 is a great example of this.

The Samsung Messager Touch SCH-R630 is a slider-style cell phone with a full QWERTY keyboard.  It also offers a two megapixel camera, a full-size headphone jack, a thousand entry phone book, a speakerphone, a tip calculator, a regular calculator, notepad, calendar, alarm clock, stop watch, sketchpad, world clock, mobile web, mobile email, GPS, a magnifier, and a battery capable of yielding five hours of talk time on a single charge.

This, frankly, is an interesting phone.  I love that there’s a full-size headphone jack on this, and there’s plenty of great features.  But, as is sometimes the case with Samsung gear, sometimes their flair for taking chances on design bites them in the…battery casing.  And that happened here.  The menu options are tough to reach sometimes, especially in the mobile web and email divisions.

But this is really only a problem for so long, as you’ll likely learn what you need to know to make it all work eventually.  Just know there is a massive learning curve on this one, and the Samsung Messager Touch SCH-𔋆 is going to provide you with a lot to like.

Even if it does take a while to get the hang of it.

The Good

Lots of options

Decent camera

The Bad

Pronounced learning curve

Score 7 / 10
