Project Natal has long been the codename for Microsoft’s forthcoming motion controller for the Xbox 360 but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be the official name when the product hits the streets. Late last night, it was revealed that the official name for Project Natal will be Kinect, obviously a play on words pointing to the fact that the product will “connect” gamers.
While Microsoft did let us know that the product would be available on November 4th of this year, they did not give us a hint at the price. Luckily, Gamestop has stepped in to leak the price, putting Kinect up for $150.
Not bad considering there were rumors of it costing much more than $150 but it’s still a ways off from that $50 hot spot.
