Ease of Use
Jabra has made number of usability improvements their headsets recently. Though Extreme doesn’t have same LCD panel that can be found BT4010, it does offer multi-colored LED that gives you quick feedback status of your Bluetooth connection or battery.
The controls used for Extreme, while not groundbreaking, as simple as can be. A power switch located on bottom of headset, while volume call buttons all on external face of device. This simplicity allows you to control headset an intuitive manner that permits you to concentrate on your call.
Comfort
Various techniques gimmicks have been attempted offer maximum comfort when wearing your headset an extended period time. Jabra includes three different eargels, as well as two different ear hooks allow you wear your headset the way that is most comfortable you.
Sound Quality (Incoming)
The number one reason that would recommend this product that it the LOUDEST headset that have ever used. You really have be careful that you don’t leave it cranked up too high because it will produce painful levels sound.
There are couple features that add an extra level value Extreme. The first A2DP functionality. Because sheer volume that Extreme offers, it makes it perfect solution for listening podcasts or other audio while the go. Additionally, the Extreme offers the ability pair use multiple devices. This especially helpful corporate users that carry multiple phones regular basis.
Sound Quality (Outgoing)
The one downside to Jabra Extreme is that (in my testing) noise cancellation was underwhelming, particularly in high noise or wind. The physical location of Extreme&rsquos dual microphones (both on external face of headset) would be my guess as to cause. My wife noted on two separate occasions that external noise was actually amplified to uncomfortable levels when was using Extreme.
Conclusion
How well the Extreme fits your needs depends largely on how and what you use your Bluetooth headset for. If your usage is largely in car, it could potentially be the perfect headset you. If you are outdoors much the time, you could potentially have insurmountable issues with sound quality. Either way, Jabra does pack quite few nice features into the Extreme the price ($76.95 the WMExperts store). Definitely give some thought Jabra Extreme if you are market for new Bluetooth headset.
