It turns out that the Galaxy Apollo seen over the week-end actually the Samsung Galaxy i5801, showcased by Google last month alongside the Galaxy i5500.
The Galaxy Apollo i5801 has appeared at Orange UK's website, carrier promises it will offer smartphone soon, free select contracts.
Orange says its Galaxy Apollo is black, although only back is black – front is dressed grey. The handset runs Android, as expected (probably version 2.1), features 3.2 inch display (maybe Super AMOLED), 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Video Messaging, 3MP autofocus camera, 1GB memory card.
I expect Samsung Galaxy Apollo available via other European carriers, too. The smartphone's price is not known at moment – it should quite lower than price Samsung Galaxy S, though.
